How are SATURN inflatable boats different from other brands?
Saturn Inflatable boats are made of the same quality materials as famous expensive, brand name inflatable boats. The workmanship is exactly the same or even better quality then most overpriced brand names that you can buy in retail marine stores. Since 1999 SATURN boats have been built the same major manufacturer of inflatable boats in South Korea( *not China!).
Some of Saturn boats strong points:
- Double layer of fabric at the bottom of all tubes .
- Saturn inflatable boats are crafted with exceptional quality workmanship.
- The Extra thick 1100 Dtex fabric with polyester support is a much thicker fabric than some other famous brands use.
- Flat and rigid air floor. Not bent in front used on most other brands.
- Very clean, hand-made seams.
- Over inflation pressure relief valve.
- Heavily reinforced keel
- Cold-welded, virtually indestructible seems will last for many years.
FABRIC
SATURN inflatable boats and rafts are made of 1,100 Dtex 3rd Generation UV-resistant PVC fabric with polyester support that has excellent resistance to tearing, tension and breaking. Tested in South Florida under the tropical sun, this light gray PVC does not change color or become sticky over time.
INSIDE CHAMBER
Inner baffles on SATURN inflatable boats, rafts and kayaks not only keep individual air chambers completely sealed for safety, but also are designed to equalize air pressure between the chambers.
SEAMS
Seams are reinforced with inner and outer seam tape both inside and outside for extra durability. Additional, 3rd outer seam tape is added for superior protection. To maximize adhesive strength, we use Polyurethane glue that guarantees high durability and protection from heat and sea water.
There are several reasons why Saturn Inflatable Boat prices are the lowest in the US:
- We import directly from the manufacturer bypassing the middleman.
- By conducting our business on-line and with a small dealer network we avoid expenses that retail stores are passing on to their customers.
- We do not invest as heavily in marketing as other famous brands do.
- We don't have to maintain a large network of dealers and retail stores.
- Our 2 year warranty doesn't force you to pay for extra years that otherwise are just built-in into the retail price.
Many of our customers are boaters that have experience with other brand names such as Zodiac, Avon, West Marine, etc. However, after purchasing Saturn boats, we hear many comments stating that our boats are the same or better quality as these other major brands.
* There are hundreds of new inflatable boat companies popping up in China and other countries, assembling boats in garages without proper equipment or intimate knowledge of how to make not only a good looking boat, but to also make boats that last. For example, minimal humidity is important for the glue to cure properly during the boat’s assembly, but many suppliers don’t even bother installing dehumidification systems. As a result, these cheap boats may be Ok at first glance but will fall apart in less than a year. Unfortunately, some bargain Chinese manufacturers deliver unacceptable quality, cheap PVC fabrics, seams that do not last, transoms that fall apart, extremely bad packing and total lack of warranty support.
